“I am not a terrorist”proclaimed Brahim Chnina, the author of the first messages and the first videos stigmatizing Samuel Paty, beheaded by a young radical Islamist of Chechen origin on October 16, 2020. The father of the schoolgirl, whose lie triggered a hate campaign against the history-geography professor, notably implicated the principal of the Conflans-Sainte-Honorine college. “If she had told me straight away that my daughter had lied and was not in class, I might have gone back (…). If she had done that, Mr. Paty would still be in class. life”he said with confidence.

“He always comes back to the same positions, the same postures”Gaëlle Paty told franceinfo, leaving the court. “He repeats that if we had told him that his daughter had lied, it would not have happened like that, that if the principal of the school had told him that his daughter was not in class, then my brother would be alive today hui”.

“He has been repeating from the start this speech which is really variable geometry, always to show that it is the fault of others”she denounced. “This is something that is very shocking for the family, and it shows that he did not understand his share of responsibility and his actions”. Aged 52, Brahim Chnina is being prosecuted for terrorist conspiracy. He faces 30 years of criminal imprisonment. The trial is scheduled until December 20.
