A 61-year-old man died on Saturday in Béziers (Hérault) following stab wounds and his 22-year-old neighbor was taken into custody for murder, AFP learned from the prosecution.
Early Saturday evening, emergency services tried in vain to revive a 61-year-old man who had knife wounds to his neck. “A lot of blood was found on site, particularly in the stairwell and in the apartment of his next-door neighbor”explained Sunday in a press release the prosecutor of Béziers, Raphaël Balland, confirming information from a police source.
At the same time, a 22-year-old woman, covered in blood, identified as the sixty-year-old's neighbor, was arrested by the police near the building. She was accompanied by her six-year-old daughter. Neither had any injuries, according to the prosecution. “The young child was hospitalized in the pediatric department, while her mother was taken into custody on suspicion of murder”continues the prosecutor.
