the essential
The Gers Rural Coordination has decided to mobilize again. Its direction remains mysterious, but this Tuesday, November 26, farmers should resume the movement.
The pressure does not go down. Farmers' unions are preparing to enter a second week of mobilization, on the eve of their professional elections. This is particularly the case of the Gers Rural Coordination (CR 32), which wants to remobilize from this Tuesday, November 26.
“Tomorrow, it will attack very strongly, I cannot tell you where or from whom, but it will attack,” exclaims Lionel Candelon. Despite the announcements of the former prefect of Gers, Laurent Carrié, a few days before his departure, the president of CR 32 wants to get back into action.

Already last week, the mobilizations had marked the department. First, the Young Farmers, accompanied by the FDSEA, dumped the contents of their skips on the Gers roundabouts and roundabouts.
The next day, CR 32 took over by closing Place de la Libération in Auch for two days.

On Thursday, November 21, a few of them went to park at one of the junctions of the Saint-Cricq roundabout to filter the vehicles. If cars were free to circulate, despite slowdowns, heavy goods vehicles transporting foodstuffs had to specify the origin of their goods.
A national mobilization
Dordogne, Essonne, Hautes-Alpes: at the national level, the CR has planned several large-scale mobilizations this week. In his sights, among others: a continuation of the blocking of distributors' purchasing centers, a mobilization in a supermarket or even a rally in front of the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
At the call of the FNSEA, the JA and the FDSEA of the Gers must also mark the occasion this week, more probably on Wednesday. But here too, the mobilized farmers want to reserve their share of surprises…

These mobilizations come a little less than a year after a historic mobilization last winter. With a year marked by poor harvests, tractors once again reached the city.

Agricultural unions assure that there has not been enough concrete progress following last year's demands. They also denounce the South American free trade agreement, Mercosur, which the European Commission would like to sign before the end of the year.
