From November 27 until December 27, 2024, treat yourself to an enchanted break in . At Christmas, through the illuminated streets and alleys, the city transforms into an enchanting and enchanted setting. The ride is magical for the greatest pleasure of all.

The 2024 edition of Strasbourg Capital of Christmas has the theme “time to marvel”, embodied by a giant book which promises us a magical immersion in Christmas traditions strongly linked to tales and stories. This choice obviously resonates with the year World Book Capital, a label awarded by UNESCO to the city.

Many activities are offered to you from November 27 and throughout the month of December. They take us back to our childhood memories, those where tales and legends open up our imagination wide. Strasbourg Capital of Christmas is a true invitation to dream, to marvel, to live a unique experience. Stroll through the different Christmas markets spread across the Big Island and discover more than 300 chalets which welcome local artisans and producers.

Strasbourg Capital of Christmasit also means strolling through the heart of the Sharing Village, the Advent Village, the OFF market, taking a gourmet break, participating in a workshop, enjoying a family show or simply strolling through a magical setting.

Experience the magic of Christmas in Strasbourg

The Strasbourg Christmas market will be held from November 27 from 2 p.m. until December 27 at 9 p.m. The chalets are open from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day, except December 24 and 25 from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. And on December 25 and 26, public holidays in Alsace, certain stands may be closed, the opening being left to the discretion of the traders.

Find more than 300 exhibitors on the various Christmas markets spread over Places Broglie, de la Cathédrale, du Château, Kléber, du Marché-aux-Poissons, du Temple Neuf, Saint-Thomas, Benjamin Zix, on the terrace of Palais Rohan as well as in rue Gutenberg and rue des Halberdes, to find decoration ideas and original gifts, and of course taste delicacies and mulled wine.
