“This Monday morning, the wind accelerates and reaches 100-110 km/h, particularly in Lyonnais, the Givors sector, as far as the northern plains of Auvergne and Saône-et-Loire, with the Gier valley and the Haute-Loire valleys values that can reach or exceed 120 km/h at peak”, underlines Météo-France in its latest bulletin.
However, the winds should weaken during the morning in the Pyrenees.
“Cuttings of INTERCITÉS are to be expected, as well as a reduction in services for certain TGVs. Furthermore, the speed of trains will be limited on several lines,” also indicates the SNCF.
To reduce the risk of accidents, the SNCF announced the interruption of numerous train lines in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region on Monday.
