This November 24, Laurent Delahousse welcomes Olivier de Kersauson, in 8:30 p.m. Sunday on France 2. Because the famous 80-year-old navigator has just released a book entitled Cherche Midi Before the memory fades, a few maritime comments. This is the opportunity to take an interest in his relationship with the beautiful Sandra, whowhom he married religiously in 2014 on an atoll in Polynesia, a year after their civil marriage in Brest.
Polynesia is where they met, and where Sandra was born. What do we know about the latter? And very few things, except that she is younger than him, and that she prefers to stay quiet in his islands on the other side of the world, where the navigator, who overcame lung cancer, found peace. The couple's public appearances are therefore very rare. But in 2017, they appeared together on the occasion of the Ponant company speakers' lunch at the Le Jules Verne restaurant in Paris.
And Olivier de Kersauson has also already indulged in rare confidences about their relationship. Declaring in particular this for Paris Match : “If you are lucky enough to meet someone with whom such a crazy experience, because it is crazy, is possible, in my opinion, you should try it.” We also learned that Sandra “a gift for gardening“.
Olivier de Kersauson, his secrets about his marriage
For her, Olivier de Kersauson was ready to leave his Brittany, where he had taken up residence for many years. Direction the Tuamotus, notably the small island of Fakarava, where they were married religiously : “Since we have the chance to live a real story, I will try to live it further. If the marriage persists, it is because it has reasons to exist. You have to give yourself the chance for a romantic relationship to be even stronger, less selfish. I won't be afraid of marriage, it can only be better…“.
Note that Olivier de Kersauson was married for the first time to Caroline Piloquet-Verne, the mother of his son Arthur, born in 1980. He also had a relationship with Florence Arthaud (two women who are unfortunately deceased). Finally, he became a grandfather twice. OI imagine that he has already taken his grandchildren to Polynesia, where he seems very happy.
