A victory for the National Rally. Christophe Gonzalez (RN) won this Sunday, November 24, the second round of the early municipal elections which took place in Rognac (Bouches-du-Rhône), BFM Marseille Provence learned.
At the end of the first round, the list led by the National Rally candidate had already come first. None of his opponents, including the outgoing mayor, Sylvie Miceli-Houdais, wanted to engage in a republican front. A quadrangular between the four qualifiers was therefore played out this Sunday.
191 votes ahead
The candidate of the party led by Jordan Bardella collected 38,24% votes, in front of Willy Nicollet (various right – 34,65%), Sylvie Miceli-Houdais (UDI, outgoing – 13,84%) and Maël Vala-Viaux (without label – 13,09%).
Christophe Gonzalez therefore wins with only 191 votes ahead of the various right-wing candidate and former municipal deputy Willy Nicollet. The results must still be validated by the prefecture, but all the losing candidates have already recognized their defeat this Sunday evening.
Christophe Gonzalez denounced this Thursday the harassment of his family during the campaign and defamation. Just like Willy Nicollet who spoke on Facebook about the difficult electoral campaign and having been “the victim of threats, slander, offensive graffiti”.
