On the evening of Thursday, November 22, 2022, an electrical incident occurred on a railway track in Saint-Martin-du-Vivier (Seine-Maritime), leading to the immobilization of a train. The 32 passengers, including vulnerable people, were taken care of safely.

The alert was given at 7:35 p.m. for an electrical problem on the railway line, blocking a train in the middle of the track, 800 m from a level crossing. When they arrived, firefighters noted the presence of 32 passengers on board, including three elderly people and a visually impaired person.
An evacuation system was quickly deployed with the help of 19 firefighters and 10 engines.

The town of Saint-Martin-du-Vivier has made a multi-purpose room available to accommodate passengers after their evacuation. They were then taken care of by a civil security association, while awaiting a bus transfer organized by the SNCF.
By 9:45 p.m., all passengers had been safely evacuated and transported to the reception center. No injuries were reported. The intervention of the firefighters was lifted shortly afterwards.
