Sunday November 17, around 3:30 p.m., a terrible accident occurred on the circuit of the mechanical pole ofAlès (Gard). According to the first elements of the investigation, the two individuals were in a powerful Alpine which would have gone “straight” during a driving session.

Two nautical stars

96 hours after the tragedy, the investigation continues. The two victims, Jean-Marc Lambot et Merry from Poezewere respectively aged 71 and of 68 ans. Both were particularly respected figures in the world of boating.

Merry de la Poeze had notably participated in the growth of the French group Beneteau, specialized in yachts and motorboats. He retired in early summer 2023.

Jean-Marc Lambot founded the company Sillage Nautisme and was particularly known and appreciated by sailors from Port Camargue au Grau-du-Roi (Gard). At the end of the day, Tuesday November 19, the organizers of the Les Nautiques show paid a vibrant tribute to the sixty-year-old via their social networks.
