This Thursday, November 21, 2024, M6 continued to broadcast the Best pastry chef. During the show, the amateur pastry chefs found themselves in difficulty when faced with a test. For Internet users, they severely lacked time to complete their creation.
After Halloween and chocolate, a new theme has settled into the Best Pastry Chef. This Thursday, November 21, 2024, M6 continued to broadcast the thirteenth season of its culinary competition with Cyril Lignac, Mercotte, and now Laëitiat Milot at the helm of the show. For this new evening, amateur pastry chefs were confronted with the legendary trompe-l'oeil cakes. A major challenge for the seven candidates still in the running.
For the creative test, the amateur pastry chefs showed originality to try to fool the judges. Egg carton, flour pot, food, dishes…there was no shortage of ideas to make these pastries larger than life. Despite the enthusiasm of the candidates, the judges quickly identified the pastries. At the end of this test, Tsiory and José were designated as the best by Cyril Lignac and Mercotte, one of whose comments did not escape Internet users.
Who is responsible?
For the second test, Kevin Ollivier, pastry chef at a prestigious palace in Switzerland, challenged the candidates. Their mission was to reproduce the cake with which he competed, and won the bronze medal, for the World Pastry Cup, namely the optical illusion cake. And all in just two hours! It must be said that as soon as the test was announced, the candidates did not hide their apprehension. Amateur pastry chefs then made a series of errors and complications, until they came up with creations that were at best unfinished, at worst completely failed.
For some Internet users, however, the candidates of the Best pastry chef did not have enough time for their creation. “I would like to see them make this cake in 2 hours”, “Leaticia who is surprised that they don't have time to talk to her when they only have 2 hours to make a super complicated cake”, “Give 2 hours to amateur pastry chefs to make a cake that finished 3rd in the World Pastry Cup?”, “Giving amateurs 2 hours for such an event is just a jokeclearly they want them to screw up”Internet users were surprised.
