TF1 launches the broadcast of “Commandant Saint-Barth” with Florent Peyre in the lead role. The comedian often appears scantily clad in the episodes, did he find this justified for the needs of the series?
Thursday, November 21 from 9:10 p.m., TF1 invites its viewers to get to know the new hero of its new detective series, Commander Saint-Barth. In this fiction, comedian Florent Peyre (who reveals he was injured at the very beginning of filming!) slips into the shoes of a cop who returns to live on his native island paradise…
Florent Peyre plays “Commandant Saint-Barth”
At work, his unconventional methods disrupt the traditional course of investigations! On the private side, he returns home to clarify the gray areas surrounding the death of his father which occurred years ago. On his return, Saint-Barth also reconnects with his ex who hid a big secret from him…
Solar and positive, the character is a free spirit who loves to enjoy the sea and the beach. His interpreter Florent Peyre appears naked on our screens quite often! Did this pose a problem for the main actor during the filming of these scenes in which he appears scantily clad?
“I don't have that modesty“
Interviewed by AlloCiné, the actor replied: “I come from a sports background, I practiced a water sport in addition. That is to say that it is a context in which I spent a lot of time of my life around bodies of water, where we are shirtless or in swimsuits… Thanks to this, I am very comfortable with my body. I don't have that modesty.”
“In a film or series, on the other hand, appearing naked does not pose a problem to me as long as it is justified. In Commandant Saint-Barth, I found it very justified in this case because this guy is also comfortable with that“, explains Florent Peyre.
“It is his way of life and that of those around him, whatever their physique and their complex. And then, I find it amusing to see this very free guy, who goes swimming in the morning, who takes a shower with his butt exposed facing the ocean, who is very happy… (laughs) It's part of of him“, laughs the actor.
The first two episodes of Commandant Saint-Barth are broadcast on TF1 this evening at 9:10 p.m., then available for replay on TF1+.
