The Pre-Trial Chamber of the International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip, the ICC announced Thursday, November 21, 2024.
She rejected appeals filed by Israel rejecting the jurisdiction of the ICC.
A Hamas leader also targeted by a warrant
The pre-trial chamber also issued an arrest warrant against Palestinian Hamas leader Mohammed Deif for war crimes and crimes against humanity allegedly committed in Israel and the Gaza Strip, said the statement cited by theAgence France Press.
