Paul Christophe, Minister of Solidarity, spoke about the Christmas bonus. He notably gave his payment date.
The end of the year is marked through the payment of the Christmas bonus. The Minister of Solidarity, Paul Christophe, spoke on this subject on Tuesday November 19, 2024.
Paid on December 13
While the date of December 15 had been mentioned to discuss its payment, it was ultimately a closer niche which was mentioned by the minister, in the columns of Ouest-France. It is, in fact, that of December 13 which was announced to our colleagues. “The beneficiaries will see it appear in their bank account between December 14 and 16“, he added.
“Exceptional” help
As the State points out on its website, this is a “exceptional flat-rate assistance paid to people who receive certain social minimums”. Everything is done automatically. Eligible people are those who benefitin November or December 2024:
- Active Social Solidarity Income (RSA)
- of the base RSA and the activity bonus if the household resources do not exceed the amount of the base RSA depending on the composition of the family
- of the Specific Solidarity Allowance (ASS), at an increased rate or not
- ACCRE (Aid for business creation) only if you were at ASS before
- of the transitional solidarity bonus (PTS, which replaces the transitional solidarity allowance since 2015)
- the Retirement Equivalent Allowance (AER), or the lump sum bonus for returning to work.
What amount?
The amount of the Christmas bonus will be 152.45 euros for single people, as the minister recalled. The amount will be increased by 50% when the household is made up of two people, whether a spouse or a child. A news 30% increase is granted per additional child. And the minister clarified, again to our colleagues from Ouest-France, that “the bonus has never been indexed to inflation” and that it will, therefore, be “the same amount as last year”.
