This November 19, 2024, Monaco celebrated its national day. This year, the emphasis was placed on friendship with . A detachment of the French Republican Guard participated in the military parade at the invitation of Prince Albert II.

The French blue-white-red mixed with the red and white banners of Monaco on the occasion of its national day. This November 19, the Principality wanted to celebrate the close ties it maintains with its French neighbor. Prince Albert II wanted to mark the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Monaco by paying tribute to the French contribution.

Present this year, the First Infantry Regiment of the Republican Guard. A great first performed to the sound of army choirs who sang several French songs, including The Song of the Partisans.

Notably, French Minister of State Didier Guillaume attended this event for the first time. In the main courtyard of the princely palace, the taking of arms was marked by a review of the troops led by the Sovereign Prince. Performances of Resistance songs by the French Army Choirs recalled the common sacrifices of France and Monaco for freedom.

The Monaco National Day celebrations began with a solemn mass followed by a Te God a religious song that resonated within the walls of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Monaco.

Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene were accompanied by their children Jacques and Gabriella, as well as members of the princely family.

We could thus hear the tune of the march of the 2nd Armored Division (2nd DB), which marched from West to East across France until the end of the Second World War to liberate the country.

Even if the 2nd DB has not set foot on Monegasque soil, it nevertheless represents a strong symbol of resistance and liberation.

The public also retained the image of Prince Jacques draped in his rifle uniform that he has worn for seven years.

Prince Albert gave the military salute to his son who had also just greeted him. History is already being written.
