According to initial information, a person who was probably walking was hit by a TGV in the Rivesaltes and Salses-le-Château sector. The victim is a young woman of 35 years old whose leg was very seriously injured. She was treated then evacuated to the Perpignan hospital center. The train driver was shocked. The 350 passengers it was carrying escaped unhurt following the collision.
On site, around fifteen firefighters, the Samu but also a traffic manager from the SNCF were mobilized.
