The northern two thirds of the country are experiencing cold air even if the sun reappears in several northern regions. However, the weather is gloomy throughout the southwest with snow at low altitude.
A clear drop in temperatures is occurring, with a particularly cold feeling in the northern two-thirds of the country. The Weather Channel *. A refreshed morning
Beautiful clearings are expected despite cooler weather in the northern half. The wind is weaker, but it remains cool. A few showers of snow fall from Auvergne to Jura and Savoies. In the southwest, the weather is mild despite gray skies and some rain. In the South-East, the sky is clear, but a violent and stormy wind is blowing on the Côte d'Azur and especially in Corsica.
Temperatures are in sharp decline and range from 1 to 14°C from the north to Corsica.
A refreshing afternoon
Temperatures remain very cool in the northern two-thirds of the country with unstable weather. In Normandy, snow showers may occur. In the southwest, the weather is mild although the sky remains overcast and humid. In Rhône-Alpes and Auvergne, snow showers fall from 600 meters above sea level. A storm is raging across the Var and Corsica and the mistral is blowing hard in the Rhône valley.
Maximum temperatures are winter and range from 4 to 8°C and 14 to 16°C in the Alpes-Maritimes and eastern Corsica.
Cool temperatures in the evening
The north of the Loire still remains under the influence of the cold although the rains are ending. On the other hand, from the center-west to the central massif and to the north-east, the rains persist and are accompanied by gusts of wind. A possible return of snow is envisaged during the night on the Vosges and the Jura mountains.
Trend of the next days
This Thursday, rain arrives from the west with snow expected in central regions. It will be milder in the south.
This Friday, this new disturbance will be gone but cold air will still be present. Frost will be widespread in the morning but a return of nice clearing is expected in the afternoon.
