Egypt’s Doctor Reveals Mohamed Shehata’s Injury from Cape Verde Match – Notiulti

Mohamed Abu El-Ela, the doctor of the Egyptian national team, revealed that Mohamed Shehata has sustained an injury during the match against Cape Verde, which is a tear in the connective tissue muscle, and he will miss the upcoming match against Botswana, scheduled for next Tuesday in the sixth and final round of qualifying for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The positive draw was confirmed following the Egyptian national team’s match against Cape Verde, which ended in a goal for each team during the fifth round of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Mohamed Shehata is expected to undergo further examinations upon the arrival of the Egyptian national team delegation in Cairo.

The match between Egypt and Botswana is set for November 19 at exactly 5 PM Cairo time, instead of 9 PM, at the Air Defense Stadium. This alteration comes following a letter from the Confederation of African Football, implementing the principle of equal opportunities, which mandates that the match between Cape Verde and Mauritania be held on the same date.
