Leicester part ways with their coach. The club, which has just returned to the Premier League, is on the verge of the relegation zone.
It’s official: Steve Cooper is no longer Wout Faes’ coach at Leicester. The Foxes also announced that assistant coach Alan Tate and first-team coach and analyst Steve Rands have left the club.
The move follows a run of four games without a win in the league, including a home defeat on Saturday against the Blues. The English club is currently in 16th place in the Premier League and is only 2 points from the relegation zone.
“Leicester City Football Club has parted ways with Steve Cooper, who is leaving his role as head first team coach with immediate effect,” the club wrote.
While waiting for a new coach, training for the first team will be provided by Ben Dawson. Wout Faes could also start to lose his place within the English club given his recent disappointing performances.
