To close its qualifying campaign for the Morocco-2025 African Cup of Nations, the Atlas Lions are called upon to win this Monday, November 18 at the Stade d’Honneur in Oujda against Lesotho, with panache as against Gabon last Friday.
Changes are expected within the national team squad. Walid Regragui should therefore rest certain players and give playing time to others. The essential keeper Yassine Bounou, who is returning from an injury, could give way to Munir Mohamedi who is also in great form.
Saibari established? In defense, Achraf Hakimi being excused, Noussair Mazraoui should be aligned on the right side. In the central axis, the duo Nayef Aguerd-Jamal Harkass could be renewed. On the left flank, we expect the tenure of young Adam Aznou (18 years old) who is having a good start to the season with Bayern Munich.
In midfield, no worries since Sofyan Amrabat, Azzedine Ounahi, Brahim Diaz and Eliesse Ben Seghir are largely satisfactory. But it is not far away that Ismael Saibari starts the match in place of Ounahi. The PSV Eindhoven player was the author of an ontology goal against Gabon and is highly acclaimed by the public.
In attack, we note the return of Soufiane Rahimi who served his suspension. He could be aligned alongside Abdessamad Ezzalzouli.
Below is Walid Regragui’s probable line-up against Lesotho:
Goalkeeper: Munir Mohamedi.
Defenders: Noussair Mazraoui, Nayef Aguerd, Jamal Harkass, Adam Aznou.
Field: Sofyan Amrabat, Brahim Diaz, Eliesse Ben Seghir, Ismail Saibari.
Attackers: Abdessamad Ezzalzouli, Soufiane Rahimi.
