The gendarmerie has launched a call for witnesses to try to find the young man last seen at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday November 16, near the night establishment “Le Club 50”. An investigation into a worrying disappearance has also been opened by the prosecution.
This Monday, November 18, “the lifeless body of Léo Pronchery was discovered immersed in the Loire by divers engaged in the search system”, announced the Roanne public prosecutor's office in a press release, confirming information from BFMTV.
Significant resources deployed
At this stage, “the elements are suggestive of a fall into the Loire from the deck of the bridge linking Roanne to the Coteau, shortly after 1:30 a.m. on November 16, 2024”, indicated the Roanne public prosecutor's office this Monday, November 18. “No element suggestive of the intervention of a third party has been noted during the investigation to date,” said the magistrate.
Significant resources had been committed to the disappearance of the young man. They were mainly focused on the river after the “cross-checking of Léo Pronchery's telephone activity and the exploitation of urban video surveillance, as well as the marking of the dog specialized in searching for people”.
