Serial killer Charles Manson reveals in series that he committed murders that were never attributed to him

“Making Manson” looks back on twenty years of the life of the famous American murderer. She reveals part of his journey to Mexico, where he admits to having “left corpses on the beach”.

Charles Manson has not yet revealed all his secrets. Seven years after his death, one of the most famous serial killers of the 20th century is at the center of a documentary series titled Making Mansonwhich will be released Tuesday, November 19 on the American streaming platform Peacock. It retraces the journey of the man who led a sect responsible for savage murders in the wealthy neighborhoods of Los Angeles through the testimony of those who approached him and unpublished conversations. In an extract, we hear the voice of the guru confessing to new murders of which the justice system had not been aware until now.

“There is a whole part of my life that no one knows”declares Charles Manson in an audio recording from a phone call made from Corcoran prison (California), specifies the British daily The Guardian. “I lived in Mexico for a while. I went to Acapulco, I stole cars. I got involved in things that were beyond my control. I was involved in a few murders. I left my 357 Magnum in Mexico and I left bodies on the beach”he assures, behind bars, where he spent forty years of his life.

Making Manson traces two decades of the killer's life, using audio recordings obtained during conversations with one of the members of the Manson Family, while Charles Manson was imprisoned. “I have twenty years of phone calls. Everything I have is new”promises a documentary speaker in the trailer. Charles Manson knew these conversations were being recorded as this trailer implies. He reveals there his crimes, recounts his education and describes the famous Manson Family, che community he led from the late 1960s to the early 1970s.

In August 1969, members of this sect sowed terror in Los Angeles where they committed at least nine extremely savage murders, including that of actress Sharon Tate, Roman Polanski's wife, then aged 26. years old and pregnant. The murderer and his followers were convicted in 1971. Charles Manson had his death sentence commuted to life in prison. During a recorded telephone conversation, he is heard saying: “I never said I was innocent, I said I didn’t break the law.” The Los Angeles Times assures that the police of the City of Angels have “officially” linked a dozen unsolved homicide cases to Charles Manson and his followers.
