For this musical release day, Louis Chedid returns to our stores with “Rêveur, rêveur”, his tenth album. But for him, it's like it's the first.
Voilà Louis Chedid back in stores this Friday with his 18th album, dreamer dreamer. An album where the only ambition is to bring a little smile back to a period “where we have so much information, films, series, very violent and quite negative” pour Anne, my sister Anne.
While his notoriety and his talent are no longer to be proven, Louis Chedid readily affirms it: a new album is a return to the starting point. He explains himself on Emilie Mazoyer's microphone: “People tell you, when you've made a lot of records, when you no longer have anything to prove. But it's the opposite ! The more records you have made and the more well-known songs you have, the higher the bar! I put it higher and higher. When I make a new record, it's like it's the first. For me, it's as exciting, exciting, maybe even more than before. I want people to like it and listen to the record.”
A return to zero which takes on a dizzying appearance when Louis Chedid remembers his beginnings: “I have the chance to rehearse for the tour at the moment, so I have less time to worry and think about it. It's a gift of life to still be able to do that. We were talking about it with Souchon not long ago. We knew each other when we started and we said to each other 'if we manage to make two records it will be great'. 50 years later, it’s crazy. And there is always the same enthusiasm. When I pick up my guitar and write, I feel like I'm 20, or even 12 sometimes.”.
