Canva down: Users face issues
Tuesday saw a massive outage on Canva platform which disabled several users of the platform in India from editing or downloading their designs. This immediately raised red flags on social media as it quickly became a topic of concern , where users reported widespread issues with both the Canva application and website. The outage has resulted in considerable problems, particularly among individuals who depend on Canva for their design needs, including professionals, marketers, and content creators.
Canva released a statement to the public on X , asking the users to remain patient while they resolve the issue stating, “We’re on it! We’re aware some people are having trouble accessing Canva. We’re working as quickly as we can to get things back up and running. For updates, visit http://status.canva.com. We really appreciate your patience!”
Reports from various regions in India indicate that the problem is widespread and the problem has also emerged on Downdetector, an online platform that monitors service outages, with hundreds of users registering their complaints. So far, approximately 868 reports have been logged. According to Downdetector’s data, 83 percent of the reports indicate issues with accessing Canva’s website, while 14 percent of users report difficulties with the mobile app. Users are encountering different issues; some are unable to edit their designs, while others face difficulties downloading their completed projects. This disruption has brought many workflows to a halt, creating a ripple effect of delays and inefficiencies.
Social media also became a meme ground for users eagerly waiting for the application to resolve the bug, and restore the services by taking necessary steps to address the issue. In the meantime, many are turning to alternative tools and platforms to try and manage their design tasks.
