The Greens were defeated (0-1) during the 125th Derby which was played last night at Groupama Stadium. If Oliver Dall'Oglio's men offered an interesting performance, only victory remains beautiful in a Derby. Here are the notes given to the players and the ASSE coach by the editorial staff of Peuple-Vert.fr.

5 | Performance passable |
4 | Insufficient performance |
3 | Poor performance |

Gauthier Larsonneur (6) : A solid match from Gauthier Larsonneur, who was able to delay the deadline for many minutes in the first half. Unfortunately, he can't do anything about the Lyon goal. However, he could be blamed for a technical error on Lyon's second goal, which was ultimately invalidated by the VAR. Larsonneur knows how to mobilize in big matches and raise his level of play. We hope that he will be able to maintain this consistency in each match.
Leo Petrot (6) : Léo Pérot delivered a solid performance. Although he is the least technical full-back, he is the one who made the most satisfactory copy: catchy, aggressive, clean in his interventions. He helped to liven up the left flank, even if his offensive contribution remained limited. With the return of Cornud after injury, Pétrot nevertheless remains a credible option as a left-back.
Yvann Maçon (4) : Yvann Maçon did not deliver his best performance of the season, far from it. Facing a Fofana in great form, he had a difficult evening. Maçon tried to provide offensive support, but his performance remained disappointing overall.
Dylan Batubinsika (5) : Batubinsika had a decent match, nothing more. Positioned in central defense on the side of Maçon, who struggled against Fofana, he was also put in difficulty by the excess number of Lyon attackers.
Mickaël Nadé (6) : Very great performance from Mickaël Nadé, solid and physically present. The young Stéphanois was in Derby mode and was able to win against an aging but still talented Lyon attack. The only downside: a knee stuck on the pitch at Groupama Stadium at the end of the match. Hopefully the MRI won't reveal any ligament damage.
Pierre Ekwah (5) : Ekwah delivered a serious performance, without however shining like against Strasbourg. More cornered by the Lyon defense, he sometimes supported the midfield, sometimes supported the central defense. It nevertheless remains a key element of Olivier Dall'Oglio's system.
Louis Mouton (4) : Louis Mouton was not at his best evening. Usually praised for his vision and technical quality, he was constantly under pressure and failed to produce a high-level performance.
Augustine Boakye (4) Free Mp3 Download : Difficult match for the ASSE right winger, still very messy. Boakye is struggling to show in Ligue 1 the qualities that revealed him in Austria. Although the level is higher, more creativity is expected from him. Note a shot caught without difficulty by Peri in the first half and a lack of lucidity on a counter-attack where he forgot to serve Davitashvili.
Lucas Stassin (4) : Learning Ligue 1 is complicated for Lucas Stassin. The Belgian striker had few chances to exist, apart from a header that brushed the post in the first half. Despite his efforts, he struggled to find himself in a position to strike on goal, lacking power and often running into space. However, his potential is obvious, and we hope that the goals will arrive soon.
Zuriko Davitashvili (6) : The Georgian was once again untenable on the left side, putting his Lyon counterparts in difficulty. Author of a few strikes without real danger, he was the metronome of ASSE on set pieces. His talent is undeniable and, if he continues this way, he could well be one of the best players in the championship at the end of the season.
Player of the match:
Benjamin Bouchouari (6) : Returning with humility, Benjamin Bouchouari has clearly become a pillar of the midfield since Olivier Dall'Oglio started him in place of Moueffek and Amougou. The young Moroccan lights up the game with his vision, his technique and his well-balanced aggression. If he continues like this, he could become an essential part of the Saint-Etienne eleven.
The ASSE coach
Olivier Dall'Oglio (5) : The Saint-Etienne coach has lined up an expected eleven, banking on well-established automatisms. He preferred Lucas Stassin to Ibrahim Sissoko, a defensible choice, between the mobility of the Belgian and the power of the Malian, thus favoring a transition game. Stassin was therefore installed at the forefront in the starting eleven. Another significant decision: the tenure of Bouchouari and Mouton in midfield, relegating Moueffek, a child of the club and bearer of the values of AS Saint-Étienne, to the bench for this 125th Derby.
However, Olivier Dall'Oglio can be criticized for clumsy communication after the defeat. Bowing with honors at Groupama Stadium still requires a determined face and a more combative attitude. However, in a post-match interview, he appeared all smiles, almost satisfied with the performance of his players. Contrary to what he suggests, the Saint-Etienne coach has perhaps not yet grasped the historic antagonism between the two clubs.
