Minnesota Vikings at Jacksonville Jaguars: Second Quarter Recap and Third Quarter Discussion

They’re heading into the locker rooms at halftime in Jacksonville with your Minnesota Vikings still trailing the Jacksonville Jaguars by a score of 7-3.

The Vikings started the quarter with the ball and put together a very. . .very. . .long drive that pushed all the way down to the Jacksonville 7-yard line. But, on second and goal, Sam Darnold was going for Justin Jefferson in the end zone and was intercepted for the second time on the afternoon, this time by Montaric Brown to end the Vikings’ drive.

That was a 17-play drive that resulted in no points. Not ideal for our favorite squad.

The Vikings and Jaguars then exchanged punts a few times and, honestly, nothing else happened for the rest of the quarter. That’s why it went by scoreless.

The Vikings really, really need to get it together against a team without its starting quarterback. Sam Darnold not throwing the ball to the other team would be a tremendous help, even if one of the interceptions looked like it wasn’t actually a pick. Minnesota will get the ball to start the second half.

We’re at halftime at Everbank Stadium, ladies and gentlemen, and the Vikings trail the Jaguars by a score of 7-3. Come on in and join us for the third quarter of play!
