PSG quietly won against SCO Angers (4-2), despite two very distinct halves. The Parisians remain well ahead of Ligue 1 ahead of AS Monaco and OM.
It's a victory that boosts morale (a little) after the painful defeat against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League earlier in the week (1-2). On the lawn of Stade Raymond Kopa, the Rouge & Bleu made only one mouthful of the SCO Angers
for the 11th day of Ligue 1 (4-2). Luis Enrique's men quickly took cover, scoring four goals in the first half. However, between the collective relaxation and the missed opportunities during the second act, the PSG players conceded two goals at the very end of the match by Lepaul and Biumla. Enough to fuel frustration among some, including Bradley Barcola.
The French international answered questions from DAZN and admitted that the first 45 minutes had been of high quality… before “ruining it”.
Asked which half should be remembered, the Parisian number 29 declared: “ Four goals in the first 45 minutes is good! Afterwards, we relaxed. It's a shame to spoil it…otherwise we had a good match overall ! »
Barcola also reacted to his premature exit and confided that it was not premeditated: What if I was supposed to go out at halftime? No, I don't know. I played and the coach didn't say anything to me before the match. I did the first half thoroughly. But I came out during the break, that’s how it is. »
With his double this evening, the former Lyon player is also at the top of the scorers' rankings with 10 goals.
