Europa League: how to follow the 4th day, with the Nice and Lyon matches?

After the shocks of the Champions League, it's time for the Europa League! For this 4th day (out of 8), we find OGC and Olympique Lyonnais, the two French clubs involved in the competition. This evening, the Aiglons face Twente, while the Lyonnais challenge Hoffenheim. Here is the program.

Things are getting serious for our French clubs involved in the Champions League and the Europa League. After the 4th day of LdC, involving Saint-Germain, , and Monaco, it is time to find Nice and , both engaged in C3.

Obligatory victory for Nice

Still looking for its first victory in the Europa League, OGC Nice is having a particularly complicated start to the campaign. A few hours before their fourth meeting, the Aiglons first came up against Real Sociedad (1-1), before losing to Lazio (4-1) then to Ferencváros (1-0). In the championship, the situation is different: undefeated for 6 matches in Ligue 1, Nice is currently in 5th place, just 4 points from the podium.

A relatively similar observation for FC Twente, which is also looking to pocket its first European victory. Also 5th in the Eredivise, the Dutch had a mixed start in the Europa League, losing to Lazio (2-0) on the 3rd day, after two draws against Manchester United and José Mourinho's Fenerbahçe .

To follow the OGC Nice – FC Twente clash, tune in this Thursday, November 7 at 6:45 p.m. on Canal+ Foot. As a reminder, to mark the 40th anniversary of Canal+, Canal+ Foot and Canal+ Sport are offered to all Canal subscribers.

Lyon wants to regain its European form

Sixth in Ligue 1 just behind Nice, Alexandre Lacazette's Lyonnais have a more reassuring record in C3. After a victory against Olympiakos (2-0) on the first day, Pierre Sage's men outclassed Glasgow Rangers (4-1), before being surprised by Besiktas (1-0), despite a very good start to the match against the Turks.

For this 4th day, OL travels to the PreZero Arena in Hoffenheim. Les Gones face TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, 16th in the Bundesliga. Despite a critical situation in the league, Pellegrino Matarazzo's men surprised Dynamo kyiv (2-0), before logically losing to Porto (2-0) on the last day.

10th in the Europa League and aiming for direct qualification (i.e. the first 8), Lyon must return to winning ways and be more realistic than against Besiktas. To follow the match, go to Canal+ at 9 p.m. sharp.
