– Traffic in Paris is officially restricted in the first four arrondissements of the capital.
Since Tuesday, November 5, traffic in Paris is officially restricted in the first four districts of the capital. Only certain vehicles, such as emergency vehicles, buses, taxis, people with reduced mobility, as well as motorists residing or working in the area, are authorized to circulate there. Likewise, journeys “destination”that is to say those whose point of departure and arrival is located in the ZTL, are permitted. Initially, the municipal police raises user awareness during the first six months following the introduction of this measure. Currently, no verbalization is planned. THE fines of 135 euros will come into force in April. GPS applications already integrate this new regulation, notably Google with Maps and Waze, reports BFMTV.
The Waze app sends a clearly visible warning to the user if your arrival zone is in a ZTL. It is possible to complete your profile by mentioning that you havea proof. The nature of the document has not yet been defined by Paris town hall. The objective is not to be alerted repeatedly at each entry or exit from a ZTL.

Delay at Apple
In Google Maps, if a route takes you to or through the area, a blue border is displayed, as well as a warning of entering a ZTL. But one application has still not updated its data: Maps developed by Apple. It does not mention the presence of a limited traffic zone in the middle of Paris, and no warning specifies this to the motorist.
