Former US President Donald Trump, while addressing his supporters at the Florida Convention Centre, thanked his wife and former First Lady Melania Trump with a hug and a kiss for supporting him during his election campaign. Trump called his impending victory the “greatest political moment of all time”.
He was joined on stage by his family, including his wife Melania, his kids, his running mate JD Vance and House Speaker Mike Johnson. While addressing his supporters, Trump also praised Melania’s bookcalling it the top-selling book in the country.
Trump thanked an array of people involved in his campaigns leading up to the Presidential polls. While on stage, he turned to thank his “beautiful wife”, saying she “has done a great job” and “works very hard”. He also said Melania’s late mother would “be very happy right now standing on this stage” and would be “very proud”.
The former President also thanked his “amazing children”.
“This is the greatest political moment of all times. There’s never been anything like this before. We will help our country heal…we are gonna fix our borders, we are gonna heal everything,” Trump said as his supporters cheered for him.
Donald Trump also reacted to the Republicans taking control of the senate after four years. “America has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate, we have taken back control of the Senate.”
