Just after the ceremony, we will discover the national preview screening of the film The Panache by Jennifer Devoldère, with José Garcia in the role of a French teacher who will push a young stutterer to face his fears and bring him out of his isolation.

Launched in 2016 by the non-profit organization Cinélabel, the FIFCL is a meeting place which has welcomed 91,000 festival-goers during the eight previous editions. This year, Gad Elmaleh will meet his fans this Saturday, November 9 at 2 p.m. at the Palace cinema (it's already sold out), with Thomas Croisière hosting, while Carole Bouquet, president of the jury for this 9 edition, will also find the time to interact with the public this Sunday, at 2 p.m. at the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Liège, with Philippe Reynaert as host. It is also up to her to award the Golden Bull to one of the nine films presented in competition. Among these are The art of being happyby Stefan Liberski, screened in national preview on Saturday, with Benoît Poelvoorde and François Damiens, or A Fanfare, by Emmanuel Courcol.
Twelve films are selected in the short film category in competition, compared to five in the special Belgian cinema screening (Fixed Home de Xavier Diskeuve, Joy by Gillie Cinneri, Bingo the Fanny Ruwet, Up to date by Camille Britte and Goodbye office by Mehdi Pierret).
Slabs with the names of the artists inaugurated
Among the four special screenings, we would be remiss not to mention the presence of Christian Clavier who will present a preview, this Friday, at 8:30 p.m., at the Palace cinema Never without my therapist by Arnaud Lemort.
As has been the tradition since the creation of the Festival, slabs on the Liège Walk of Fame, located rue Pont d'Avroy, will be inaugurated by Lambert Wilson (Wednesday, at 5:45 p.m.), Carole Bouquet (Friday, at 5:45 p.m.), Gad Elmaleh (Saturday, at 5:45 p.m.) and Valérie Bonneton (Sunday, at 8:15 p.m.). The opportunity to see them and immortalize the event without spending a single cent.
The screening of the film Christmas balls by Alexandra Leclère, with Kad Merad, Valérie Bonneton and Noémie Lvovsky, will close this 9th edition, this Sunday, at 8:30 p.m., at the Palace.
