US Elections 2024 Live: Harris and Trump’s final push before Election Day brings them to the same patch of Pennsylvania

Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump delivered their concluding messages to voters on Monday in neighbouring areas of Pennsylvania, utilising the campaign’s final full day in a state crucial to their electoral success.

Both candidates concentrated on Pennsylvania’s southeastern region, with Trump speaking in Reading, approximately 30 miles from Allentown, where Harris conducted her event shortly afterwards.

“If we win Pennsylvania, we win the whole ball of wax,” Trump said. “It’s over.”

A Trump victory in Pennsylvania, securing its 19 Electoral College votes, would significantly impact the Democrats’ stronghold and complicate Harris’s path to achieving the required 270 votes.
Harris, representing the Democratic party, dedicated Monday entirely to Pennsylvania, the most significant state among those likely to determine the Electoral College results, and shared her straightforward perspective.

“We need everyone in Pennsylvania to vote,” she said. “You are going to make the difference in this election.”

Harris’s schedule included visits to Allentown and Scranton – President Joe Biden’s hometown – followed by Reading. Her itinerary concluded with a planned stop in Pittsburgh before a final evening rally in Philadelphia, featuring appearances by Lady Gaga and Oprah Winfrey.
