The columnist is wrongly accused of having compared the Palestinian people to “animals” last week in the talk show hosted by Cyril Hanouna.

“Surrounded by animals”. This is the sentence that Isabelle Morini-Bosc would have pronounced on October 31 live in “Touche pas à mon poste”. Words which followed the declaration of her colleague Valérie Benaïm: “Israel is the only democracy in the region”. Since then, the columnist has been accused of racism and fears for her safety.

Since this weekend, messages have multiplied on social networks. Those of anonymous people or elected representatives of the Republic. Like Ian Brossat, senator from and spokesperson for the PCF who claims to have reported the sequence to Arcom. The day after the broadcast of the show, Isabelle Morini-Bosc encouraged accusing viewers to “wash your ears!”. “I obviously didn't say “a country surrounded by animals”I said “a country surrounded by enemies.” What a sad desire to harm!”she wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

This Monday, November 4, the C8 talk show defends its columnist. “We have the tracks of everyone’s microphones”begins by explaining Cyril Hanouna who then broadcasts, without the ambient noise which could interfere with their understanding, the words of Isabelle Morini-Bosc. We can actually clearly hear the journalist declare: “surrounded by enemies”.

Legal action

“They must actually consult, there are hearing problems”continues Cyril Hanouna, who assures that he has never had “no doubt” on the words of its columnist. “It’s unacceptable that politicians fall for this and I hope that there will be others who will tweet to denounce these people”he adds.

Isabelle Morini-Bosc then takes the floor: “It happened so quickly, I received hundreds of insulting messages on my personal email. It's a double whammy for me because how could RTL keep a racist on the air? Because there were messages from listeners. It was incredibly violent and still is. The damage is done. The right of reply is never archived, what remains is the guy who says I'm racist”.

As the rest of the set points out, such accusations put “a target on the back” of the columnist who is afraid today. “I've been attacked before, I can't not think about that. I know that at any moment, there is a weirdo who can show up”continues Isabelle Morini-Bosc. “It’s very serious and we’re going to take them to court, don’t worry Isabelle”concludes Cyril Hanouna.
