After emerging unscathed from an accident, the passenger of a car was mowed down by a truck while crossing the RN 13 near Fresville, between Sainte-Mère-Église and Valognes (Manche), this Sunday, November 3, 2024.

Hit by a heavy goods vehicle
It was 7 p.m. when a car traveling in the Cherbourg-Caen direction hit the safety rail before hitting a heavy goods vehicle. Exiting the damaged vehicle, a man crossed the central barrier before being hit by a heavy goods vehicle traveling in the other direction. Aged 20, the victim was declared dead by the SMUR doctor.

Shocked, the driver of the car, also 20 years old, was taken to Cherbourg hospital. The driver of the truck, aged 25, was unhurt. He was taken care of by the gendarmerie.
