The Detroit Lions had another offensive explosion in the Week 6 win over the Dallas Cowboys and tight end Sam LaPorta and wide receiver Jameson Williams both played a big role.

LaPorta has been quiet this season and only had one catch last week, but it was a big one, with the second-year tight end breaking loose for a 52-yard touchdown catch on a flea flicker.

Williams only had three catches, but one of them was a big one, going for a 37-yard touchdown. He ultimately finished with three catches for 76 yards and the score.

Looking ahead to the Lions’ Week 7 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings, should LaPorta and Williams be in your fantasy lineup? Let’s find out.

Even though LaPorta hasn’t fully lived up to the hype this season, he remains a must-start option every week, especially when you consider the overall state of the tight end position this season.

Making the Iowa product an even more attractive option this week is the fact that the Vikings are giving up the fourth-most fantasy points per game to tight ends. Start LaPorta with confidence this week.

Verdict: Start LaPorta

Williams has seen his target totals drop over the past three games, with the Alabama product getting just nine in that span after seeing 20 over the first two weeks. Even still, Williams has routinely been ripping off big plays to make up for his lack of opportunities.

This week, Williams draws a matchup against a Minnesota defense ceding the third-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers. He’s an every-week WR2 until further notice.

Verdict: Start Williams
