The actor’s son was the guest of Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine in “C à vous” this Friday, October 18. Two months after the death of his father, he looked back with tenderness on the relationship between them.

Two months to the day. The actor Alain Delon died on August 18 at his residence in Douchy. And if his death shocked the French, it also inspired an unprecedented event. On November 8, a symphonic film concert entitled “Delon the Last Samurai” will take place at the Palais des Congrès in . For the occasion, one of his sons, Alain-Fabien Delon, whom the actor had with the model Rosalie van Breemen, was the guest of Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine in “C à vous”.

The 30-year-old man, also an actor and model, decided to move into the house in Douchy after Alain Delon’s stroke in 2019. And this cohabitation was able to bring father and son closer together. “When I was younger, I had a rather complicated relationship with my father. After his stroke, he was very happy to have survived and to have his children by his side”he explained.

And despite a somewhat tumultuous relationship, Alain-Fabien Delon said “very proud to be the son of an icon of French cinema and a man who inspired a lot of people”. “He knew how to elevate us and shine through his image and his art in the world”he explained while claiming to regret nothing and to have had the chance to talk about everything with him before his departure.

A departure that Alain Delon mentioned in 2019, during a moving speech given following his winning a Palm of Honor at the Film Festival. “I’m going to ask you for forgiveness because for me tonight, more than the end of my career, I think it’s the end of my life. Tonight is a bit of a posthumous tribute but in my lifetime […] Now I know that what is difficult is leaving”declared the “Samurai” in the sequence broadcast this Friday on the set of “C à vous”. “You took me by surprise”underlined Alain-Fabien Delon at the end of the viewing. “He always spoke before his departure, he was very clear on that. It’s weird to hear it”he articulated, overcome by emotion and struck by the resonance of his father’s words.
