“There’s nothing to be proud of”, “it’s a copy and paste”, “we’re really in total plagiarism”, “TF1, do you no longer have any inspiration? », “I gave up after 5 minutes”… Here are more or less the opinions of Internet users on the new TF1 show Le Maître du jeux broadcast for the first time, Friday October 11, 2024.
The principle of the show copied?
Presented by Normand Laurent Ruquier, this new investigation game brings together twelve celebrities, well known to the channel’s viewers. We (re)find there in particular Elsa Bois, Max Boublil, Jeanfi Janssens, Frédéric Diefenthal, Chantal Ladesou, the couple Claire Francisci-Ducret and Arnaud Ducret and even Valérie Damidot.
Together, they participate in a life-size investigation, in a (not so) isolated residence, which has already served as the setting for another very popular show. Participants must discover the identity of their host by overcoming challenges, finding clues and foiling traps set by the Game Master and his accomplice. Because yes, a saboteur is hiding among the candidates.
And despite a plus “good launch” with “good audiences”the program risks running out of steam quickly.
Lots of criticism
Very clearly, the whole principle of the game was criticized all evening on social networks, and in particular, on himself participated.
In addition to these similarities, Internet users criticize a lack of originality in the casting, the setting, the choice of location… In short, almost everything.
By chance of the calendar or by will, the show also suffered from competition from another highly anticipated game. The Loups-garous program, broadcast on Canal + unencrypted for the first two episodes, was a hit.
