French justice has validated the Obligation to Leave French Territory (OQTF) issued by the Orne prefecture against Omar Bin Laden, son of Osama Bin Laden.

According to Bleu, although this decision is now official, Omar Bin Laden had already left the country to settle in England.

Omar Bin Laden expelled for advocating terrorism

Omar Bin Laden, one of the sons of the famous jihadist leader Osama Bin Laden, was banned from entering French territory after being accused of advocating terrorism on his social networks in 2023. This Tuesday, the Minister of the Interior, Bruno Retailleau, confirmed on the social network X (formerly Twitter) that the administrative ban had been implemented, following the decision of the prefect of Orne. Residing in France for several years, Omar Bin Laden lived in Orne as the spouse of a British national, before his public statements provoked a reaction from the authorities.

An expulsion already recorded in 2023

The Obligation to Leave French Territory (OQTF) was pronounced by the prefect of Orne in response to comments made by Omar Bin Laden online. The latter was then ordered to leave France, which he did in 2023, even before the judicial confirmation of this decision. Now residing in England, Omar Bin Laden is prohibited from returning to French territory, as Minister Bruno Retailleau clarified: “He will not be able to set foot in France again, for any reason whatsoever. »

Eventful journey of Omar bin Laden

Born in Saudi Arabia 43 years ago, Omar Bin Laden had a life marked by numerous trips around the world. After spending part of his childhood in Sudan and Afghanistan, he separated from his father at the age of 19. Subsequently, he lived in various Arab countries before settling in in 2016.

Installed in Orne, Omar Bin Laden began an artistic career as a painter. His works had been exhibited in several French departments, notably in Manche and Mayenne, where he had sold several paintings to Gorron. Despite this artistic activity, his family ties and his controversial comments caught up with him, leading to his definitive expulsion.

Justice validates the inadmissibility

The recent court decision, confirming the regularity of the OQTF, marks a further step in this matter. Omar Bin Laden is now officially banned from staying in France, and this ban applies without any exception, according to the administration’s terms. This decision closes a controversial chapter in the life of this man with a complex past, while strengthening the position of the French authorities on questions of national security and the fight against the glorification of terrorism.
