A bloody terrorist attack hit Tel Aviv this evening, leaving seven dead and several injured. One of the victims was holding his child in his arms. One of the injured took the child to save him. The attack took place at a tram station in the Jaffa district, sowing terror among passers-by .
According to the first elements of the investigation, two attackers got off the tram before immediately opening fire on the crowd present in the street. Witnesses reported hearing incessant bursts of gunfire in all directions.
Magen David Adom (MDA) quickly deployed its teams on site. The injured, some in serious condition, were evacuated to Wolfson hospitals in Holon and Ichilov hospitals in Tel Aviv.
The police, who intervened promptly, confirmed having “neutralized” the two terrorists on the spot, putting an end to their carnage. The two men were identified as Palestinians and not Israelis. They would have come from Hebron. Furthermore, authorities denied rumors of the presence of other attackers at the Sharon Hotel in Herzliya, thus ruling out fears of a broader coordinated attack.
