Playstation’s online services have been out of service since last night, it’s not a good day to sit down in front of the console this Tuesday.
Affected by an outage, the online services of Sony’s PlayStation consoles are not functioning normally on Tuesday October 1, 2024, the Japanese group announced. “At the moment, the PlayStation network, including the PlayStation Store (the online game sales platform, Editor’s note), may not be available,” indicated the PlayStation Japan technical support account.
When will we return to normal?
The first problems occurred during the night from Monday to Tuesday and still persist at midday. Around 11 a.m. (9 a.m. GMT), the PlayStation website indicated that “certain services are experiencing difficulties”, notably player account management and online games.
“We are doing our best to resolve these problems as quickly as possible,” assured Sony, without giving details on the origin of this failure. Playstation’s online services allow owners of Sony consoles to play online. Problem: today, some games don’t even launch without an internet connection or if the Playstation Network servers are out of service, even if you don’t play online…
In the meantime, players are getting impatient, because remember that playing online on a Playstation is a monthly paid service.
