The campaign to replace defective airbags in Citroën C3 and DS3 produced between 2009 and 2019 continues at a steady pace. This Monday, September 30, 2024, Stellantis proudly announces that the symbolic bar of 100,000 vehicles whose Takata equipment has been replaced. They are more precisely 105 000 to date. Excellent news for the group of manufacturers, which has already planned 93,000 other replacements. Thus, the total number of vehicles treated or in the process of being reached in France 198 000.
Several means have been put in place to achieve this. The objective being not to penalize motorists in their everyday lives, Stellantis announces that two new courtesy vehicle delivery fleets will begin their activities in Bayonne (Pyrénées-Atlantiques) and Nice (Alpes-Maritimes). They are added to those already operational in Marseille-Vitrolles (since July 15), Toulouse and Lyon (since July 22), and finally Bordeaux (since July 26).
Successful home operations
Finally, the program Repair@Home is active in eleven urban areas and other cities should soon benefit from it.
