Superior Court judge Chantal Massé rejected, on Wednesday, the request for an injunction filed by two students who were demanding the dismantling of the encampment.
Thursday, during a press briefing, Prime Minister François Legault still asked the police to dismantle the encampment, believing that it does not respect the law.
Pro-Israeli and pro-Palestinian demonstrations also took place peacefully around the encampment on Thursday afternoon.
The campers, who are demanding that McGill University withdraw its investments linked to Israel, are determined to remain on the establishment’s grounds until the situation changes.
