Paris FC – Pierre Ferracci on the future sale of the club: “Two new shareholders will give us the means we did not have”

With one of the biggest budgets in the championship and an XXL transfer window on the scale of the Ligue 2 produced this summer (Krasso, Maxime Lopez…), the FC now serves as the big favorite for direct promotion to Ligue 1. President of the capital club since 2012, Pierre Ferracci has given itself the means, year after year, to structure the PFC and make it grow with the idea of joining PSG in the elite in the long term. Soon, the Corsican leader will become a minority with the arrival of new, even more powerful investors. He confides this in an interview with the newspaper Le Parisien.

“I took the time to find the right shareholders and things have accelerated over the last 2-3 years thanks to our sporting performances. In L1, half play for Europe and the other not to go down. The shareholders of the clubs at the top are Qatar, a Russian billionaire, Ineos, Pinault, McCourt, Textor… I have no shame in saying that it is beyond my means and that I must pass the baton. I hope to reach my holy grail and move up to L1. I would have done my part of the job. I took personal risks, I could have lost a lot of money. But I never made my club take any risks. Afterwards, it’s tiring to manage a football club. I am very happy to have found this great solution with two new shareholders, one French and the other European, who will provide us with the means that we did not have. I will become a minority but I will remain president for 3 years. »
