Israel threatened the Houthi faction in Yemen after carrying out strikes against Hezbollah in Lebanon.
According to the broadcast ofIsraelthe armed forces declared that “the Houthis’ time will come”, but that the focus currently remains on the offensive against Hezbollah. In response, the Houthis announced their intention to continue the resistance.
Houthi reaction: Resistance continues
The leader of the Houthis, Abdel Malik al-Houthiaffirmed that Israel will not be able to ensure its security by eliminating the leaders of the resistance. This statement comes following the death of Hassan Nasrallahthe secretary general of Hezbollah. Al-Houthi added that Israel’s hopes of breaking resistance following the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyehas well as Nasrallah, were in vain.
The Houthi movement renewed its commitment to the Palestinian people and activists in Lebanon, affirming: “We will not betray our brothers in Palestine and Lebanon.”
Rocket attack from Yemen
This Saturday, the Israeli army intercepted a missile fired from Yemen, indicating an escalation of hostilities. Rocket alerts were issued at Tel Avivfollowing this shooting.
The Houthis affirmed their determination to continue operations against Israel, in solidarity with the Palestinian and Lebanese people, declaring that attacks will continue as long as aggression against Gaza and the Lebanon will not stop.
Growing tensions in the region
In an act of solidarity with Gaza, the Houthis began targeting Israeli or associated ships in the Red Seausing missiles and drones since November.
These developments raise fears of an intensification of conflicts in the region, involving multiple actors.
