The macabre discovery was made by a family member this Monday, January 6 in Saint-Gervais, a town near Bagnols-sur-Cèze.
In circumstances which have yet to be clarified, the body of a woman was found half-burned, this Monday, January 6, around noon, in the shed of a property in the town of Saint-Gervais (Gard).

According to initial information, a member of the family made the macabre discovery. The deceased woman, who was 58 years old, lived with her mother on this private property.
According to our information, this fifty-year-old, who was the subject of psychological monitoring, would have set her feet on fire in the shed adjoining the house and died from smoke poisoning.
Firefighters, gendarmerie and research brigade quickly went to the site to carry out the first observations and samples. The mayor of Saint-Gervais also came to the site.
An investigation was opened by the Nîmes public prosecutor's office.
