WTA > Pam Shriver is really worried about the return of Rybakina's former coach: “It's a very sad situation and my prayers go out to Elena”

To everyone's surprise, Elena Rybakina recalled her former coach Stefano Vukov to join her team again as Goran Ivanisevic's assistant.

Many rumors had circulated about their separation in 2024, Stefano had been accused of moral harassment towards the Kazakh champion. We thought the situation had been resolved since Goran Ivanisevic took the reins of the team.

Stefano's comeback is therefore a real surprise. For some, it is almost a continuity as Pam Shriver explained in a rather solemn message.

“It is time for our entire sport to finally stand up against the abuse and sectarian manipulation of which players are victims. This is a very sad situation and my prayers go out to Elina Rybakina”
