ATP > Del Potro's terrible confidences before his match against Djokovic: “Do I have to spend another 15 years of my life like this so that at 50 I can have a prosthesis and live more or less well until my sixties? “

Haunted by injuries and a knee that is still capricious, Juan Martin Del Potro has been living a nightmare for several years.

As he prepares to play an exhibition match with Novak Djokovic on 1is December in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in order to definitively say goodbye to , the winner of the 2009 US Open spoke about his daily life which had become very difficult.

Excerpt from his very touching video posted on Instagram: “I haven't run since I was 31 (he is 36 today, editor’s note)I can't climb the stairs, I can't kick a ball, I never played tennis again either… Do I have to spend another 15 years of my life like this so that at 50 I can have a prosthesis and live more or less well until your sixties? So I find myself in this discussion and it's also terrible, because these are the scenarios and I have to define them. Why should I make this decision if you are the doctor? I am now in the middle of all this and I hope one day it will end, because I want to live without pain. »
