The latest statements from Mats Wilander explaining that Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz have reached a level of tennis higher than that of the Big3 are causing a lot of talk in the tennis world.

Many ex‐champions expressed their disagreement with the Swede’s comments. One of his reactions is quite “symbolic” since it comes from the Ukrainian player engaged in his country’s army and who had not spoken about tennis for a long time.

Mats really must have made a “mistake” for Alex to take the time to participate in a tennis-related debate given the circumstances.

« Sorry Mats, I rarely watch tennis these days, but I saw the highlights of that final between Sinner and Alcaraz by accident. My opinion probably has no value but I completely disagree, the big three had a much higher level of understanding, proposing changes of pace, angles, variations in terms of ball height and frankly what whatever happens I would never choose today’s champions”
