Lu Weibing, the current president of Xiaomi, has confirmed the launch date of its next flagship camera. The company official indicated that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will make its official debut soon after the Chinese Spring Festival, which begins on January 29. The potential launch should therefore take place in February.
For the record, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra was also announced in February, and it went on sale shortly after its launch in China. The global launch took place at MWC 2024, which isn’t too far from the initial announcement. It looks like the same thing will happen with the next flagship camera.
As Lu Weibing confirms, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be sold “simultaneously worldwide” This means that there will be no delay between the global launch and the Chinese launch, which is not common for phones Chinese headlights. For example, the standard smartphone of the new range has not yet been launched internationally.
However, previous reports have suggested that the Xiaomi 15 could also launch overseas alongside its Ultra sibling. However, it is unlikely that the company will sell the Pro version outside of China. Recent leaks have also suggested that the 15 Ultra will feature a new camera setup on the back.
-It would sport a quad-camera setup on the back, like its predecessor, but the sensors would be arranged differently. Some reports suggest that this camera setup will consist of a 50MP primary, a 50MP ultrawide, a 50MP periscope, and a 200MP periscope telephoto https://www.xda-developers.com/periscope-camera -vs-telephoto-camera/. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is also expected to feature a 6,000mAh SiC battery with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging support (Anker Prime 250W power bank currently $149.99 on Amazon).
