LeBron James was expected to be the messiah during the 2003 Draft, and it is clear that he lived up to this status. Currently, Kendrick Perkins is seeing a young point guard capable of standing comparison with the King.
To understand the wait that surrounded LeBron James in 2003, at a time when social networks were not yet increasing the attention given to young talents, it is enough to analyze his status as No. 1 in the Draft. He was only a high school student, and yet he had been selected before the phenomenon Carmelo Anthony, who had just entered the NCAA with Syracuse.
