For now, this update concerns the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, Samsung watches launched in summer 2023. It will notably allow you to benefit from a more recent security patch.
Indeed, the latest update was the one which allowed you to move – finally – to the One UI 6 Watch interface. Now the update allows watches to be updated with a new security patch. However, as the site deplores Sam Mobilethis is a patch that is still relatively old, dated October 1, 2024.
Apart from this security patch, the update also seems to offer a little new feature regarding stress monitoring. Indeed, some users have noticed that their Galaxy Watch 6 now offers a new widget for overviewing stress levels throughout the day. This allows the stress level to be displayed using words and not just a gauge.
Let us also remember that Samsung made some announcements this week concerning its health monitoring and, in particular, that linked to sleep. Now users who also have Samsung SmartThings home automation equipment will be able to analyze how their environment affects their sleep.
